Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation

Hosted by Blue Jacket District (Southeast part of Council)

Want to go camping this summer? Want to experience the Great Outdoors with your Pack. Want to have a SUCCESSFUL & FUN time. We have what you need!!! We are offering a BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) training class at on May 10h , 2014. One member from every pack MUST be BALOO Trained when camping. So come join us, at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church on May 10th, 2014. We will teach you the necessary tools to have the BEST SUCCESSFUL Camping experience.


What is BALOO Training?

This one day course is designed as an introduction to the Cub Scout outdoor program for those leaders who are interested in adding a camping component to their Pack activities. BALOO is an instructor-led course which is conducted at the Council level. BSA's Cub Scout level camping policies will be taught along with the necessary tools to help units carry out a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for at least one adult on a Pack overnighter.


Why is it Required?

BALOO training includes an introduction to outdoor camping skills as well as important BSA rules and policies to be followed on any Cub Scout campout.

What do I need to bring?

Please remember to bring a writing utensil, notebook, and weather appropriate attire.


How do I register?

Click "register" at the bottom of the screen to begin the registration process. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy: COUNCIL REFUND POLICY: Individuals or groups that cancel a program reservation 30 days prior to the date of the event, will receive a refund of fees paid, less 15% administrative charge. No refunds will be made after the 30-day cancellation deadline.
